Fallout Miniatures: Hollywood Heroes Launching This Month
The success of the Fallout TV series has seen the beloved series of games enjoy a renaissance over the last few weeks. Immediately following the launch of the TV series, four Fallout games featured in the European top 10 charts. Even the Fallout TTRPG and the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare minis skirmish game sold out. Modiphius, the publishers responsible for the TTRPG sets and the skirmish sets, are also gearing up for the launch of the Fallout: Miniatures – Hollywood Heroes set later this month.
Fallout TV Success
Fallout has proven to be a massive success with 65 million viewers reported within the first two weeks of airing. It ranks as the second most popular show in Amazon Prime’s history, behind Rings of Power. Along with The Last Of Us, it is one of the most popular video game adaptations of all time, managing to attract fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
And Amazon has already confirmed season 2 will be coming, although it’s not likely to stream until at least 2026.
Franchise Popularity
The series’ popularity saw Fallout 4 top the European game charts with Fallout 76, the MMORPG and most recent addition to the game series, coming in 8th position. Fallout: New Vegas, widely considered by many gamers to the best of the Fallout games, came in 9th. Fallout 3, which was the jumping on spot for a lot of modern Fallout lovers, came 10th.
Away from direct products, Fallout is also making cameo appearances in other games. Fortnite’s next season will offer gamers the chance to don T-60 Power Armor and there will presumably be Fallout themed locations and weapons available.
It isn’t just Bethesda that has enjoyed Fallout’s resurgence. Modiphius Entertainment is the company behind Fallout’s Table Top Role Playing Game (TTRPG), Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, and Fallout: Factions. And Modiphius has seen sales in these double since the launch of the TV show.
